Thurs, Feb 14- Grading Rubrics

Bell Ringer:

1. Open up your Typing Word document
2. On page 32 type lines lines 9 and 10

What are we learning today?
10 Step Procedure for developing a PowerPoint presentation
3.1 Know the Design Principles
3.2 Know your Target Audience

Guided Practice:
@ Miss W will model the 10 steps to use to develop a PowerPoint presentation.
@Students will help each other during the project.

For students working on the Health project:

Yesterday’s work
Step 6 Enter content
· Make sure you have at least 9 slides
· Font should be no smaller than size 24
· Font may need to be bigger than 24 depending on the font you use
· Research your content (IN YOUR OWN WORDS for 6 slides)
· You are allowed 2 quotes with proper citations
· Type your content and research your topic

Step 7 Add and format graphics (pictures), audio and video
· Each page needs at least one clip art or image.
· If you get the image from Google you will need to put a citation under it
· Don’t forget google.com is NOT a citation.
· Click on “see full size image” to get citation information
· Pink skills sheet items (PUT NUMBER IN NOTES PANE)
o 16- have a picture border
o 17- use a picture artistic effect
o 18- change picture color or use an artistic effect or remove background

Step 8 Add animations and transitions
· You need an animation or a transition for each slide
· Pink skills sheet items (PUT NUMBER IN NOTES PANE only ONCE)

o 27- make one transition have a longer or shorter duration

o 28- you may skip

o 29- Go back to your title slide and animate your name

o 30 Change the effect on any of your animations

You are creating one PowerPoint but will receive 2 grades.
One grade will be for the technical skills you have learned.
One grade will be for the design skills you learned and the accuracy of your content.
