Thursday, March 14- Creating a chart

We are learning the number keypad. Click on http://www.typeonline.co.uk/number_pad_lesson1.html
Choose exercise 3 and then click on the word “start.”
Time will not start until you put your cursor in the white rectangle and start typing.
Record your typing speed and accuracy on a piece of paper.

Guided Practice: Learn the following flashcard skills:

20 Icon sets- Home tab, Conditional Formatting button, then Icon sets

22 Pie chart- Insert tab, Pie chart, 3D, Chart layout number 2

09 Chart types and styles-
Select chart, On Design tab click Change Chart Type, Select column chart.


Open the Car lot exercise  for absent students file
and save to your lunch number ADD your name to the file name.


Follow the Practice for Spreadsheet Project Chart worksheet with your teacher.

Independent Activity:
1. Open your hurricane file.

2.  Column B should be hidden Highlight Columns A and C.
3.  Click on the insert tab and click on the Column chart button, choose a 3D Column design.
4. The Design tab lets you change the color of the bars.
5. Click on the LAYOUT tab.
6. Click on the chart.

7. Make sure you are on the Layout tab.
    Add the title "Hurricanes and Millibars"
8. Choose Axis Titles.
9. Choose the 2nd choice “Primary Vertical Axis Title
10. Choose the 2nd choice “Rotated title
11. Spelling Counts! Type “Millibars (millibars are a measure of atmospheric pressure)
12. Choose Data Labels and then click on Show.
 13. Click on Chart Wall. Click on More Wall Options. Click on Solid Fill. Choose any color.
We will edit the legend together.
