Thursday, May 2- Using Boolean Operators & Continuing with the Animation Project

Bellringer:
1. Go to your zenworks box,
click on the Alice program
The Alice button/icon has a girl's face on it.
You will need to minimize and click "run."

2. On page 154, type the title
and words in #1 and #2
Steps for Effective Searches
1. Identify a topic. Example: Leonardo da Vinci

2. State your topic as a problem or question.
Example: How did Leonardo da Vinci influence
the field of science.
3. NEW Internet sign on- Look on paper at your desk.
Once you are finished with typing, Miss W. will help you if needed.

Guided Lesson:
Using Search Engines:
We will use Google or Chrome and search the keywords on page 153
using different Boolean Operators. Copy and paste from your typing.
Animation
We will learn how to animate using a drop and drag interface.The grading rubric will be explained.

Animation Rubric
A. 10 points- storyboard with your name and 9 scenes
B. 20 points- 3d text title and student name (or billboard with title)
and the title moves off of the screen slowly
C. 20 points- characters/animals move
D. 10 points- a specific part is moved (like a hand or leg etc.)
E. 10 points-two methods at once (use the do together purple button)
F. 10 points - there are word bubbles
G. 10 points-the timing is slow enough to read the words
H. 10 points-spelling is correct and grammar is correct
There are no texting symbols.


Independent Lesson:
Students will continue working on their animation project
