Spreadsheets can take numerical data and turn it into picture data like graphs/charts.

Guided Practice:
@ Students will finish the chart component worksheet.
@ Miss W will explain the difference between
embedded charts (appears on the same sheet as the spreadsheet),
separate charts (does not appear on the same sheet as spreadsheet will update if both files are open.)
and linked charts (will change to reflect changes made to spreadsheet even if both are not opened.)


Copy paste Excel chart into PowerPoint: Embedding vs Linking Chart

@ Students will follow instructions and complete the Colonial Population exercise.


Independent Exercise:
@ Students will create a spreadsheet, format the data, create a chart and find the functions for the Colonial Population exercise.
