Employment Agencies http://www.grahamjobs.com/staffing_agency_programs_index.html They show job positions but not the employer's name until you pay them. c. Classifieds http://www.greensboro.com/triad_careers/ While newspapers still list job positions in their papers many also list them online. Work-based Learning Apprenticeships- registered programs that provide hands on training https://www.mynextmove.org/find/apprenticeship 2. Students will complete the Job Search Terms Activity worksheet. 3. 1. Why millennials have a tough time landing jobs - CNBC.com http://www.cnbc.com/2014/03/28/why-millennials-have-a-tough-time-landing-jobs.html Read the article. Circle 2 items you find interesting or that you did not know. What is one positive ability that millennials have? What are two negative or bad things that millennials do during a job interview? If you were absent on Tuesday: 1. Students will complete the Interest Assessment at www.careerzone.ny.gov by following the directions in the 6.01 Employability PowerPoint and answer the 6.00 Assess Yourself worksheet questions. 2. Besides each of the job (occupations) you need to write a SHORT definition of the job. You can use the "TASK" descriptions to help you. 3. In front of each job description: Write P if the occupation deals with People Write I if the occupation deals with Information Write T if the occupation deals with Technology
