Read pages 180 and 181 about HR Planning, Staffing, and Job Analysis. Complete the job analysis of a student on the bottom of your leadership vocabulary page.
Read pages 185 to 186 about Performance Management. Evaluate your performance as a student based on your job analysis.

September Prompts are due by the end of class Friday. When most students are finished with the September prompt we will place them on the web.
When you are finished with your Sept Writing prompt AND Miss W. has seen it and graded it, you will make corrections to it. Learning Goals: Many students have trouble grasping the difference between absolute and comparative advantage. Today's activities will focus on getting student to understand the different concept.s
Bell Ringer: Work 10 minutes on Company Project. Students will be notified if they need to stay for Tiger time because of test grades.
Guided Lesson: 1.03 concepts of absolute vs comparative advantage will be introduced.
Independent Lesson: Students will work on interest rate activity and begin comparative advantage activity.
Self-Management: Students, who did not score an A or B on the test will be required to attend Tiger time and evaluate test questions and answers. They will retake the test during next week's tiger time.

Opinion prompt: Using your Business Cycle worksheet do you believe we are in a Big Recession or a Small Depression? Why? Use the facts from your worksheet to support your opinion.
Current Events prompt: Using your Business Cycle worksheet explain why after 9-11-2001 President Bush encouraged Americans to go out and live their lives and to spend money. "When [the terrorists] struck, they wanted to create an atmosphere of fear," Bush said at a Sept. 27, 2001, speech at O'Hare International Airport in Chicago. "And one of the great goals of this nation's war is to restore public confidence in the airline industry.
"It's to tell the traveling public: Get on board. Do your business around the country. Fly and enjoy America's great destination spots. Get down to Disney World in Florida. Take your families and enjoy life, the way we want it to be enjoyed." Think about the different business cycle activities and decide which ones he was trying to encourage.

Learning Goals: Introduce the following concepts: Supply and Demand, Finding the Market Equilibrium Price, and start GDP.
Bell Ringer: Work 10 minutes on Company Project, read Intro to Business pages
Guided Lesson: Modeling how to find the Equilibrium price
Independent Lesson: Finding the Market Equilibrium price. GDP visual project which shows the parts of GDP such as consumer spending, government spending, business spending and exports-imports. Students, who do not complete in class, will have it as homework or it will be finished during Wednesday's Tiger Time.

Bell Ringer: Students will access their e-learning accounts by going to http://itacademy.microsoftelearning.com
Guided Lesson: Start PowerPoint One Lesson by viewing introductory video,Demo e-learning.
The first lesson will be facilitated by Miss W. to model how the students should proceed through the e-learning module. The PowerPoint 2010 Environment sections to be covered are - Introduction and Managing the PowerPoint Environment.
