BellWork:
Read the "Siblings Taste Success" Article http://www.csmonitor.com/2001/0207/p13s1.html In the margin of your notes, write down 3 types of businesses you may like to start.

As you read in your textbook pages 108 through 113 think about the types of businesses ownership that would be best for
1. Tom, Sally, and Joan created a new video game that is selling over a thousand units per day and want to be a business.
2. Bob wants to start a lawn service.
3. Cousin Walter wants to open a hotel and have people invest in it.
4. Aunt Vivian wants to open her own Subway shop.
5. Your neighbors want to start a farmer’s market so everyone can have fresh vegetables and make a little cash.
In pencil, make notes on your 3rd page in the gray box about which business types would be best for the above people. Answer questions 1 through 4 on page 113.

Interims will be collected. If returned on 9-27 it will be a 100, if returned on 9-28 it will be a 96, if returned on 9-29 it will be a 92, if returned on 9-30 it will be a 88, if returned on 10-3 it will be 84, if returned on 10-4 it will be a 80. If the interims are returned after that date it will be a 76.

Guided Instruction:We are going to finish our notes about the advantages and disadvantages of corporations and then apply the concepts to figure out which business types are best for the scenarios in the PowerPoint lesson.
