Sept 26 MSITA

Learning Goals: Understand and apply text box formatting, table and multimedia PowerPoint concepts

Bell ringer:
Students will access their e-learning accounts by going to http://itacademy.microsoftelearning.com BEFORE CLASS STARTS.

Students will access http://www.wclassroom.blogspot.com

Students will review other students' September projects at the blog page titled E-learning Project- Sept Writing Prompt.http://wclassroom.blogspot.com/2011/09/e-learning-project-sept-writing-prompt.html
Students will help students, who were not able to send and save to a website at http://www.live.com

Students will continue with their Textbox Formatting Project.

Interims and other papers will be distributed. Interims will be signed by parents and returned for a participation grade. If returned on 9-27 it will be a 100, if returned on 9-28 it will be a 96, if returned on 9-29 it will be a 92, if returned on 9-30 it will be a 88, if returned on 10-3 it will be 84, if returned on 10-4 it will be a 80. If the interims are returned after that date it will be a 76.

Guided Exercise:
Teacher will go over go over the difference between text placeholders and text boxes and how to set a text box as a default text box. Teacher will model how to work through the steps of finding an answer to a computer question.

Teacher will hand out new unit checklist sheets (the skills and labs are in the order that they should be worked) and have a class preview of the skills they will be learning by working through the Modify a Picture Lab skills sheet.

Teacher will explain that while lab projects are named the same as the Beginning PowerPoint Unit; they have harder items on them and students will need to slow down while working through them. New labs are on the table by door.

Independent Exercise: Students will continue working through the e-learning module. Students will complete labs.

Self-Management: Students will continue to work on their projects if they finish the day's lesson early. Teacher will let students know what work needs to be finished so they will not need to attend Tiger Time.

Homework: Bring in 10.00 Business fee. Bring back signed interims.
