Bell-Ringer/Connecting Strategy
On page 92, type lines 18 and 19.
The Caret symbol is used in computer programming, math and foreign languages.
We are using our RIGHT INDEX finger for the ^ CARET key.
We are using our LEFT PINKY finger for the SHIFT  key.

Guided Lesson:
@ We are NOT using the typing book for several days.
We are learning the numeric keypad.
The numeric keypad is to the right of the keyboard.

Your  index finger on the 4
Your middle finger on the 5
Your ring finger on the 6
Your pinky will hit the plus sign +

The daily bellringers will now be practicing the number pad
Choose exercise 1 and then click on the word "start."
Time will not start until you put your cursor
in the white rectangle and start typing.
Record your typing speed and accuracy in your typing file.

@ Students will open 9 Independent Practice Filtering and Sorting a Database WORD document.
@ We have already completed these questions together, you will know try it on your own.
@ Students will screen print their answers into the 9 Independent Practice document.
@ Students will save the file to their lunch number.
 
Independent Exercise:
@ Students may work in pairs
    to complete  9 Independent Practice Filtering and Sorting a Database.
@ Stop at number 8. We will do 8 and 9 together.
@ Make sure you save your work!

IMPORTANT NOTICE!
You must close the database first before you close the access file.
You must click on the inside “x” before you click on the outside “x”
If you don’t close following the above instructions, it will freeze the program.

If absent on Friday.
@ Take the Publication and Target Audience test.
@ After the test, Click on https://portal.achieve3000.com/
  • Your user name is your lunch number.
  • Your password is your birthday.
  • Go to the email section and click on article titled "Picture This"
  • The article is about the Graphic Design career.
