Guided Lesson:
@ Miss W will review different intellectual property protection since many students did not do well on the exercise.
Independent Exercise:
@ Students will CORRECT any wrong intellectual property protection information and understand which copyright, trademark, and patent protection their food truck business may need @ Students will create a logo for their food truck name. @ Miss W did NOT count spelling on the location project, however, students will open their location project and fix the following items: All stores and places are capitalized. High Point University, Sheetz etc. All sentences start with a capital letter and end with punctuation. I is capitalized. I went to the store. @ Students will create a business route for their food trucks • Your Goal, Using Google Map: • Plan out a 10 to 20 mile route (Archdale, Trinity, High Point, or Greensboro area) • Stop at 10 to 20 establishments • Time Frame should be no more than 3 hours • You want the maximum number of customers for your food truck. • Screen print your route to a Word document and insert a text box to explain your choices! @ Students will create a Discovery Phase 8 slide PowerPoint. Rubric: Each slide is worth 10 points, 5 points for complete definition sentences and 5 points for appropriate image 5 points for your name on the first slide 5 points for spelling 10 points for creativity- it looks nice and has at least one animation AND transition per slide @ Students will complete Demographics exercise http://quickfacts.census.gov/qfd/states/37/37151.html @ Complete the Food Truck Marketing Trends worksheet. http://network.intuit.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/Intuit-Food-Trucks-Report.pdf @ In YOUR OWN WORDS and using the facts from the worksheet, write a paragraph (at least 6 sentences) about your AVERAGE customer. @ In pairs, read the link below titled "Sneaker Wars" by the Washington Post and list different facts/trends about sneakers.https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/business/wp/2015/03/17/how-sneaker-kings-are-fighting-to-win-the-war-for-americas-feet/ FOOD TRUCK SURVEY •You need to create a food truck survey. You may look at the 2 examples in the above links or go online and google Food Truck Survey for ideas
•Use a word document. ONE page only!
•Have 10 questions with correct spelling/grammar.
The questions may be multiple choice or fill in the blank.
•Have clip art or pictures.
•Have your name & your food truck’s name on it.
