Wed, May 15- Finish Online Shopping Safety Tips, Catch up on Missing Work

Bellringer:
1. On page 183 type the 3rd paragraph that starts
"If your software has a grammar check feature, ..."

2. Finish up the Internet Browser Research Worksheet.
    Look on the board for your name.
3. Finish up Internet Shopping Safety Tip Comic.

4. GENTLY take down your biometric poster,
    we will be reusing the construction paper for your comic
    gently pull off tape and put in your folder. 


Signed interim reports are due back today, Wednesday for 90.
If returned on Wednesday, you will get a 85.

Mon, May 13- Practice Searching and Thesaurus

1. OPEN your INTERNET RESEARCH typing document
on page 179 
type the title "Puppy"and the entire poem.
Format correctly. (blue font and center words).
Your poem should look like poem on page.

Signed interim reports are due back today, Monday for 100.
If returned on Tuesday, you will get a 95.

Guided Lesson:
Thesaurus: lists synonyms or a word or phrase that means
exactly or nearly the same as another word or phrase.
For example: cold is a synonym of freezing. 


1. Highlight the word frisky in your poem.
2. Click on the Review TAB
3. Click on the Thesaurus button.

4. You will see synonyms to right, highlight a synonym, like playful   
AND then click the down arrrow and choose INSERT.

5. Whatever synonym you chose should replace frisky.
6. Warning: if you just click the synonym and not the arrow
                    it will keep showing you new synonyms.
7. Replace the following words in the poem with synonyms:
    cuddly, barking, running, sleeping, and chew.

8. Warning: make sure you choose a synonym that makes sense.

2. OPEN A NEW WORD DOCUMENT SAVE IT AS INTERNET RESEARCH
 on page 158 type the top paragraph: 
Citing where you found the information from the Web is very similar to citing
information from a book, journal, or periodical. Cite the author or owner of
the information to describe where you got the material.

3. Sign in to Edmodo

5.2. Identify different career opportunities available for a person who is computer literate.



Guided Lesson:
Miss W will explain how to convert your animation into a video.
We will attach our videos to Edmodo and watch them.

A. 10 points- storyboard with your name and 9 scenes
B. 20 points- 3d text title and student name (or billboard with title)
and the title moves off of the screen slowly
C. 10 points- characters/animals move
D. 20 points- a specific part is moved (like a hand or leg etc.)
E.10 points-two methods at once (use the do together purple button)
F.10 points - there are word bubbles
G.10 points-the timing is slow enough to read the words
H.10 points-spelling is correct and grammar is correct
There are no texting symbols.
