An advantage of a Franchise is the parent company
provides training and advice. A disadvantage of a
Franchise is that they have strict rules and you must
pay a royalty ( a percent of your profits) to them.

@ Miss W will review the Project rubric. Some students did not read carefully
     the directions for the second slide
@ Miss W will explain how to record audio on a PowerPoint

Independent Exercise:
@ Call your new set Types of Business

to get information about your Franchise        k= thousands of dollars    m=  millions of dollars
@ Finish the PowerPoint part of the project AND THE AUDIO SCRIPT
@ Start on the audio.
@ When you are finished save to My Computer- Student Docs-
     Witkowski folder- Exploring Business folder- Business folder-
     A Franchise Research Project folder then 6th period or 7th period

Students need to decide for which ACADEMIC topic
(Typing Posture/Technique, Language Arts, Science,
Social Studies, or Math) they will create a
PowerPoint presentation soon. We will be using the
PowerPoint you create to learn different old and new
features of PowerPoint 2010.
