Monday, Dec 2 7th Grade- Spreadsheets- Reviewing Chart Components

Bell Ringer:
1. See page 293 type lines 3 and 4. 
2. Open up the Chart Components PowerPoint
3. Complete VOKI
and
Look on board and complete any missing work.
4. On a piece of paper write your name and the name of your Voki's chart component.

5. Sign into Edmodo if your name is on the board for not having Voki finished.

Guided Practice:
@ Elective Food Drive- Winning Classes wins Pizza then Donuts
@ If you are finished with your Voki you will partner with a person,
    who is not finished and assist them.


Independent Exercise:
@Students will try to guess from the Voki's descriptions which Chart Component it is.


Finish Wednesday's Work:
@ Students will create a voki about one of the chart components.
@ Write your name and period on the back of the paper that you choose.
@ Do NOT say the name of your chart component in your voki,
     we are going to guess next week.

3. Open your NEWSLETTER.
4. Finish the book/game/movie review AND the academic project/field trip review.

Guided Practice:

Miss W will show students how to expand hyphenation.
@ Miss W will review Table of Contents process.
@ Miss W will review drop capital and headline styles.

What's the difference between a newsletter and another publication?
@ Students will create a Word table to take notes.


Independent Exercise
@ Students will increase the hyphenation to .8
@ Students will review document to make hyphenation was completed correctly.
@ Students will add the book/game/move review and academic project/field trip to table of contents.
@ Students will use a drop capital for their articles.
@ Students will make their headlines larger and more stylish.
@ Students will make sure their headlines are creative.
@ Students will make sure pictures have proper citations. 

     Google or Bing is NOT a citation!!!!
@ Students will start to type Publisher notes and type the flyer information.

@ Highlight the data and choose a "format as table" option

@ We will be right clicking on certain items
@ Make minor tick marks on the vertical and horizontal axes

@ Change the color of the tick marks to red
@ Change gridlines to green
@ Change the plot area to light aqua
@ Change the chart area to any color other than light aqua

@ Go to the Chart Tools Tab and then the Layout tab and add the title "ATMS"
@ On the Layout Tab add data labels
@ In the Tick Marks file what is one of the data series?
