Learning Goal- Do great on the Common Formative Assessment and Understand Tuesday's Assignment

BellRinger: 1. sign in to where the CFA is http://rcselements.wikispaces.com/ Under "Links of Interest" click on "Elements online testing site" Miss W will give you the test id shortly. The student id is your lunch number. Everyone who passes gets a lollipop for Halloween! These means you have a 70 or higher on your computer screen.

Remember: We did not cover 4 questions from the next chapter. They will not count against you but you will get them as a bonus if you answer them correctly. Everyone will get at least 15 points toward their score. 15 points is how much the questions are worth.

2. Review PowerPoints 2.03, 2.04, 2.05 and 3.01 under Student Docs then Principles of Business to prepare for the CFA

Guided Exercise:
Explain about Tuesday's Project Day Assignment.

You are BEHIND if you do not have these items finished already.
Make sure you are finished with Project Questions 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 22, 23, 25 AND the Heinz Ketchup exercise and Restaurant Survey exercise (See NOTES at the bottom of this post).

Remember No Lime, Pink, White, Yellow or Aqua text!

The new questions that need to be answered ON TUESDAY are:
8 Need 2 sentences for each Leadership characteristic and why you chose it (Total 4 sentences)

9 You need 2 sentences for Leadership style. If you do not have your notes you may substitute Management Style found on pages 153-154

10 You need 2 sentences for each of the 5 functions. You need to be SPECIFIC about your product.

For example using my product of mood nail polish and the last function of Controlling. I'm responsible about seeing seeing if my company is accomplishing its goals. My sentence for this function could be: Controlling- As a manager I get reports from my factories that let me know if we are meeting our production quota. I also get reports from my executives about how are sales are doing. If they are not meeting my goals, I tell them what changes to make. (You need a total of 10 sentences- You may need several slides)
11 Pick out one job needed for YOUR product for the job analysis This should be 2 sentences.

12 There are 10 ways to locate employees on page 181. You need to list all 10 ways. You may need to use 2 slides if you use a large font.

13 You need to offer at least 5 benefits to your employees. They may be creative like free yoga classes that was discussed in the 2.05 Powerpoint,

14 Use whatever job you picked for Question 11. You need 3 sentences. How would you evaluate them? How would you know if they did a good job? How would you know if they did a bad job?

15 Think about your business and product. 2 sentences for each manager (tactical and strategic). Don't forget to say WHY! (Total of 4 sentences)

26 Think about what type of jobs your product will produce (farm, factory, sales, customer service). Look on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Occupational_safety_and_health scroll down to "Common workplace hazard groups" THIS IS THE ONLY INTERNET SITE BESIDES THIS BLOG THAT YOU WILL GO TO ON TUESDAY.

Finish Part 1: Look over the question:• What kind(s) of research did Heinz use in developing this new packaging? Be specific! We talked about the 4 types of market research yesterday. Look at pages 243 to 244 in your textbook about Market Research or on slides 33-37 on the POB 3.01 PowerPoint. Heinz used 3 of the 4 types of research studies(survey, focus group, observation, experiment). You need to write one sentence for each study explaining what Heinz did.
