  1. You are going to open a NEW Excel file
  2. You need a pencil

Guided Lesson:  
@ Practice Exit Activity 2 for 10 minutes
@ Make sure you have a new Excel spreadsheet open
@ Exit cool math games
 
Independent Exercise:
@ Do NOT write on test.
@ Use a PENCIL only
@ Write on the back of the scan sheet.
@ Put your name on the back of the scan sheet.
@ Take your time,
     you will need to create flash cards for the missed questions and answers
@ After the test, open a new EXCEL spreadsheet
@ Start the cell reference challenge.
 
Homework:
Students need to decide for which ACADEMIC topic
(Typing Posture/Technique, Language Arts, Science,
Social Studies, or Math) they will create a
PowerPoint presentation soon. We will be using the
PowerPoint you create to learn different old and new
features of PowerPoint 2010.

Functions- are built in calculations that are short cuts.
The computer types most of the  formulas for you.

    open 1 Spreadsheet Vocabulary Test Number 1 file.

Guided Lesson: 
Open a new Excel spreadsheet
We will type out a formula =F2+F3+F4+F5 and then we type out function to see how functions are built in shortcuts. =Sum(F2:F5)
It is important to understand the parts of a function (equals sign, function name, parentheses, beginning of the range, colon, ending of the range and parentheses).

@ Miss W will review for Tuesday’s test

to get information about your Franchise        k= thousands of dollars    m=  millions of dollars

PROJECT INSTRUCTIONS 1. Finish Franchise worksheet
2. Finish the PowerPoint part of the project (answers, pictures, animations, transitions)
3. Finish the script. Why should someone buy your franchise? 
4. Record audio after script is approved by Miss W. 
   Black wire on top and Red wire on bottom
5. Save to presentation folder and help other students
@ When you are finished save to My Computer- Student Docs-

     Witkowski folder- Exploring Business folder- Business folder

     A Franchise Research Project folder then 6th period or 7th period
