TEST ON TUESDAY
Signed Interim reports due by Friday

Literacy/Vocabulary Strategies (Word Wall)
Functions- are built in calculations that are short cuts.
The computer types most of the  formulas for you.
This is what the function button looks like.

Bell-Ringer/Connecting Strategy
  1. You are going to open a NEW file Go to Computer- Student Docs- Witkowski folder- Spreadsheet folder-
    open 1 Spreadsheet Vocabulary Test Number 1 file.
2. Go to wclassroom.blogspot.com

Guided Lesson: 
Open a new Excel spreadsheet
We will type out a formula =F2+F3+F4+F5 and then we type out function to see how functions are built in shortcuts. =Sum(F2:F5)
It is important to understand the parts of a function (equals sign, function name, parentheses, beginning of the range, colon, ending of the range and parentheses).

@ Sub instructions- how to get to daily wclassroom, assignments, etc.
@ Exit Activity 2
@ Miss W will pass out study guides,
if you did not do good on Exit Activity 2 you need a study guide!

 
Homework:
Students need to decide for which ACADEMIC topic
(Typing Posture/Technique, Language Arts, Science,
Social Studies, or Math) they will create a
PowerPoint presentation soon. We will be using the
PowerPoint you create to learn different old and new
features of PowerPoint 2010.
Closure Strategy
Built in calculations are called functions.
Horizontal is like laying down flat on the ground.
Vertical is up and down
You may use the Spreadsheet Vocabulary PowerPoint.
Play until you have won a million dollars
