Jeopardy Game Expectations and Rules

Standards:

Students can remember classroom rules when playing the formative Jeopardy Game


Literacy/Vocabulary Strategies (Word Wall)
Explain daily "I can" statements.
Bell-Ringer/Connecting Strategy
Welcome to Miss Witkowski's Computer Skills and Applications class

Bellringer:
1. Fold the index card (hamburger style)
2. Write your first name ONLY in large letters using a crayon on the index card.
3. Sign on to the computer.
4. Open a Word document and type or on a piece of paper write and draw:
your name
your favorite tv show
                      your favorite song
your favorite sport
your favorite hobby
                      your favorite book
add any type of clip art
save it and name the file "first day"

Guided Lesson
Today we are going to review classroom expectations and rules.

Supply List:
paper, pencil or pen,
optional one package of 3x5 index cards, crayons- red, blue, green and yellow
optional but strongly recommended is a flash drive to save projects.

We will be covering the following topics in class:

Principles of Business

Entrepreneurship

Seeking Employment


We will be using PowerPoint, Word, Spreadsheets, and creating short videos.

Expectations:
*Students will treat teacher and each other with respect and dignity.
*Students will listen when the teacher or another student is talking.
*Students will be responsible for their own learning.
*Students will bring their notebooks, pencil or pen and other needed items to class.
* Students will complete all assignments and be on time to class.
* Students will follow bathroom sign out procedures.
* Students will treat computers with respect.
* Students will not go to web sites not assigned by teacher.
* Students will not change screen savers and/or background designs.
* Students will keep equipment in good working order and not write on desk or computer.

Independent Activity: Students form teams to play the Rules and Expectations Jeopardy Game
