September 26 Business and Finance

Learning Goal: Continue learning the concepts presented in 2.01 Understanding the types of business ownership.

BellWork: Study for CFA quiz- it will count as a daily assignment instead of a test grade.

Interims and other papers will be distributed. Interims will be signed by parents and returned for a participation grade. If returned on 9-27 it will be a 100, if returned on 9-28 it will be a 96, if returned on 9-29 it will be a 92, if returned on 9-30 it will be a 88, if returned on 10-3 it will be 84, if returned on 10-4 it will be a 80. If the interims are returned after that date it will be a 76.

EVERYONE needs to pull up their COMPANY Projects The projects were "not" included on the interim because Miss W. wanted to check to see if the black and white printer may not have printed out different color fonts. Many students had several "blank" slides in their presentation and Miss W. wants to make sure it is not a printing issue before assessing grades. (It was a printing issue- the black and white printer will not print light pink, aqua, yellow or lime green.)

Independent Exercise:
Go to http://rcselements.wikispaces.com/ to take the test. The test event code is xxxx. Your student id is your lunch number.

After you are done with the quiz, you will work on the franchise exercise at http://www.entrepreneur.com/franchise500/index.html Do NOT write on the worksheet. Use your own paper. IF you have not turned in your Company project or any other work- finish those items first. Today is our last day in the lab.

Guided Instruction:We are going to finish our notes about the advantages and disadvantages of corporations and then apply the concepts to figure out which business types are best for the scenarios in the PowerPoint lesson.

Remember we will be in Mr. Russell's room on Tuesday. We will leave 5 minutes early today to bring the textbooks back to his room.

Homework: Bring 10.00 business fee and signed interim reports back for a grade
