We will be using the SHIFT key and the upper number keys for different symbols.

% Percent sign is on the 5 key.
^ Caret is on the 6 key.
The caret is used in programming, math and foreign languages.

Hold the SHIFT key down and click on:
& Ampersand is on the 7 key.
* Asterisk is on the 8 key.
( Opening parenthesis is on the 9 key.
) Closing parenthesis is on the 0 key.
