Literacy/Vocabulary Strategies (Word Wall)

Bell-Ringer/Connecting Strategy

2. Go to Computer- Student Docs- Witkowski folder- Exploring Business folder-
    Employment folder- open 6.03 Being a Good Employee


3. Students will pull out their blue data sheets and open PowerSchool

Guided Lesson
Miss W will review how to be a good employee by understanding appropriate workplace behavior and having a work ethic.

Independent Exercise:
 
*** Students will complete their blue data sheets.
*** Students will read in pairs:
 
1. Circle 2 items you find interesting or that you did not know.
2. What is one positive ability that millennials have?
3. What are two negative or bad things that millennials do during a job interview?


If you were absent on Friday- take the Resume, Cover Letter, Work App test

 Homework: Decide which PROJECT Activity you want to complete.

For each of the projects listed below you will need to choose:
3 appropriate workplace behaviors
3 ethical behaviors
3 unethical behaviors
3 benefits of good workplace behavior

A. Create a crossword puzzle and a word maze about 12 of the behaviors.

B. Create a Kahoot game about 12 of the behaviors.

C. Create a skit demonstrating the 12 behaviors (up to 3 person project) Dialog must be written.

D. Create a student survey about the vocabulary words, have students take survey and graph results

E.  Create a comic strip with at least 24 panels telling a story about 12 of the behaviors.

F. Create a PowerPoint showing famous people displaying 12 of the behaviors.
No copy and paste, it must be in your own words why the picture displays the behavior.

You will only have 2 days (Tuesday and Wednesday) to complete the project.
If your partner is absent, you will need to complete the project.
On Thursday and Friday, the projects will be presented to the class.
