Feb 1 Career Management

Learning Goal: Review Holland Codes and Understand your temperament

Bell Ringer:
1. Students will get name tags
2. Students will pull up their Holland Code PowerPoints and insert two more slides.
3. Pull up the following web site
http://career.missouri.edu/students/majors-careers/skills-interests/career-interest-game/

Guided Exercise:
4. You are going to verify your Holland code. First click on the Holland code that you picked for your Holland Code PowerPoint. Then look at the following links ARE YOU?, CAN YOU? LIKE TO? HOBBIES? CAREER POSSIBILITIES? for your Holland Code.

Independent Exercise:
IF YOU NOTICE THAT YOU DO NOT HAVE MATCHES TRY THE OTHER HOLLAND CODES!5. Type ARE YOU? and then type or copy and paste the words that match your personality.
6. Type CAN YOU? and then type or copy and paste the activities you are good at.
7. Type LIKE TO? and then type or copy and paste which activities you like from the group.
8. Type HOBBIES? and then type of copy and paste which hobbies you like?
9. On the 2nd slide type careers and choose two careers that interest you. Click on the link and copy and paste description. Be sure to use quotation marks and cite the source which mean you need to put the web address on the slides.

Guided Exercise:
Miss W will go over the Keirsey.com temperament assessment with students.

10. Visit www.keirsey.com to take the FREE temperament test. Do NOT start until Miss W tells you to. She will tell you where to click on the FREE test. There are some tests that you have to pay for.

Homework: Don't forget to bring the $10.00 Business Fee
