Friday, April 25th- 8th Grade- Database- Zip Code Input Mask

Bellringer:
1. On page 419 type the bottom 2nd paragraph
that begins "So far, you've entered data into..."

2. Complete any missing work on the board,
Field trip students go to achieve 3000. Go to your mailbox.
Click to view the article A Critter Count. Students will read carefully.
The first attempt at the activity questions will be a daily grade. .
Reward on Friday: For all students, who get 70 or better!

Finish the database vocabulary crossword puzzle.

Guided Lesson:

Test Next Thursday!
Open Steps to Create a Database powerpoint.
Review ascending and descending order by writing examples on worksheet.
Ascending is A to Z order or small numbers to larger numbers.
Descending is Z to A order or large numbers to small numbers.

Independent Exercise: 
@ Students will create a database with a lookup data type and a zip code input mask.
@ Students will complete Queries Prework PowerPoint.

@ Students will carefully complete pages 48 and 49. If you make a mistake, you will need
to write the entire question and correct answer.

Reading Reward Activity:
All students, who made a 70 or higher, will play a fun review game outside.

All students, who made 69 or less, will work on reading improvement worksheets.

Exit Activity#1:
*Go to database http://www.kidsbiology.com/animals-for-children.php
*Click the categories until you find an interesting animal. 

*Look on your puzzle word definitions or Database powerpoints,
  and the answer the following questions:

1. When the animal database "offers you choices" to click on such as bats, bears, butterflies what type of data type is it? (Not text) 

2. When you click and find the definition of the animal, what data type is the definition?
   (Not text)
