Wednesday, April 23rd- 7th Grade- Spreadsheets- Review of Charts and Formatting

Bellringer:
1. Open your Population file. The one with the continents.
2. On page 372 type the paragraph that starts "You can delete a row..."

What are we learning?
4.0 Spreadsheet Basics and Formulas
4.1 Know the components of Spreadsheets
4.2 Creation and Formatting of Spreadsheets
4.3 Know spreadsheet operations


Guided Lesson:
@ PowerPoint winners will be announced.
@ Miss W will show students how to delete a row and how to insert a row.
@ Miss W will show students how to make the headings, centered, bold and size 12 font.
@ Miss W will explain why cell references are important when using functions.
@ Miss W will review creating a chart and formatting it. 

Independent Exercise:
@ Students will work with their Colonial Population Spreadsheet.
@ Students will complete number 7-10 adding the sum, max, min and average functions. 
@ Students will create a chart and format it.

Exit Activity#1:
@ Critique (review) the PowerPoints in the Health folder and choose the one you like best. Remember to explain why you like it and to put your name on the paper.
