Lesson-Instructional Strategies and Procedures for Teacher and Students (Detailed Plans Including Best Practices, Researched Based Strategies)

Guided Lesson: 1. Students will complete the Interest Assessment at   www.careerzone.ny.gov by following the directions in the 6.01 Employability PowerPoint and answer the 6.00 Assess Yourself worksheet questions.   2. Besides each of the job (occupations) you need to write a SHORT definition of the job.You can use the "TASK" descriptions to help you.  @ Miss W will review employability skills We talked about personal qualities and employability skills:   Displays responsibility    Self-esteem and self confidence •  Self-management •  Integrity and Honesty •  Cooperation •  Follows directions •  Initiative and self-motivation 3. Work-based Learning Apprenticeships- registered programs that provide hands on training  https://www.mynextmove.org/find/apprenticeship   Independent Exercise:  2. On a sheet of paper put your name. Go to http://www.simplyhired.com/ and find 2 job positions   Write down the name of the company and three skills the position requires. __________________________________________________________________ 3.
