Thursday, February 27th- 7th Grade- PowerPoint Project and Review Literacy Lesson results

Bellringer:
1. Open your Typing file and on page 21 type lines 8, 9, and 10.            
    Use your right PINKY finger for the Right Shift Key exercise

2. Get out your Pink Worksheet and your GREEN rubric.

3. If you were absent on Wed, complete the 1st 9 weeks typing assessment (class  
     participation grade) go to http://www.typingtest.com to get your new wpm.
4. If you were absent on Wed, Click on https://portal.achieve3000.com/
    Your user name is your lunch number. Your password is your birthday.       
    Go to the email section and click on article titled "The New Power of PowerPoint."
     1st score counts as a daily participation grade.

Guided Practice: 
@Miss W will review the PowerPoint rubric and project requirements.
@Miss W will review the "The New Power of PowerPoint" Achieve 3000 article
    and model techniques on how to find the information. 
@ Use the crayons to highlight different items in the text.

Independent Exercises:
@ Make sure step 6 (enter content) and step 7 (add pictures with proper citations)
     are complete. 
@ See Thursday's Lesson below for step 8 (add animations and transitions)

Past Lessons
Step 1- Determine the Purpose of PowerPoint
            Most students picked Educational and some students picked Narrative.
Step 2- Identify the Target Audience
            Our target audience will be other students so we want to have colorful
            slides, animation, all of the design ideas we discussed.
            **** You will need to find a game for your audience to play***
             type the word "QUIA" and the name of your topic 
Step 3- Storyboard the content
            We researched 8 key facts and storyboarded them as a rough draft.
Step 4-  Create a Design
Step 5-  Edit the Master slide (OPTIONAL)
Step 6-  Enter the Content (notice you enter the words before the pictures)

Step 7-  Add and format graphics (pictures), audio and video      
              Remember to use the PINK PICTURE TOOLBAR
              to add a frame style and effects
              You need citations for pictures from the Internet.
              You don't want to spend all of your time looking for 1 picture!!!!

Step 8- Add animations and transitions
Step 9- Practice (review the rubric)
Step 10- Revise (check spelling)
Working in Teams students will FIND THE EVIDENCE for their answers to the 4 Presentation Procedures Revised PowerPoint questions 24 through 28.
