Wednesday, Feb 5th- 8th Grade- Reviewing for Friday's Keyboarding test

Bellringer:
1. Open your Typing file and on page 9 type lines 8, 9, and 10.   

    Use your left MIDDLE finger for the E exercise.
   

2. If you were late or absent yesterday, see the board, finish any missing work.
3. If you did not complete the end of unit Achieve 3000 article.
    Click on https://portal.achieve3000.com/
    Your user name is your lunch number. Your password is your birthday.  
     Under My Lessons, the article titled "Letters In, Numbers Out"

  
What are we learning?
 
KEYBOARD MULTIPLE CHOICE TEST ON FRIDAY

1.1 Implement proper keyboarding technique (the form and keyboarding style)
1.2 Introduce Alphabetic keys
1.3 Begin timed writings on Alphabetic keys


Guided Practice 
Miss W will review:
@Touch-method of typing technique

@ Correct finger placement for the home keys (blue (index),
     red (middle), green (ring), and yellow (pinky or little finger)

@ Proper Keyboarding Posture and Technique

 Independent Exercise:
    (1st period) 
6. In teams students will answer the Posture and Technique Review questions
      on the last page (page 11). Review your packet carefully for the answers.
     
You will need to write out the questions and correct answers for each 
    
question you miss
. These are the questions that will be on your first test.


7.  Review Test questions
     and make sure you put correct answers on Keyboarding worksheet.


8. Discuss "Letters In, Numbers Out"

9. Review the 2 typing tips you chose to work on. If you are satisfied with
    your choices turn your name tag inside out and write both tips on
    ONE side. This note will be your reminder for the next couple of weeks.


HOMEWORK: Take home Keyboarding worksheet and study for test.
                         Do NOT lose the worksheet, you will it again.


Exit Activity #1(1st period)
Students will practice touch typing the home row keys
with a game called HomeKeys Kennys.       
Remember- Do NOT look at the keys while playing.
Try your best to click on the keys from memory.

Choose beginner if you are in the beginner category
