May 3 Business and Finance

Learning Goals:
Continue with Unit 4.02 Banking

Bellringer:
Pull up PowerPoint 4.02 Banking and go to Slide 11

Announcements:
Behavior grades will be given in May. If you talk out of turn, disrupt the class in anyway, are not in your seat you will have 5 points deducted EVERY time you engage in bad behavior. IF you behave in class it will help your grade. IF you do NOT behave in class it will hurt your
grade.

Before Lunch:
1. Students will type in the name of their parents' bank on the Smartboard and which characteristic (services, safety, convenience, fees and charges or restrictions), was their
reason for their choice.


Guided Lesson:
Miss W will review the different reasons why people choose banks
Students will list their parents' banks and reasons on the board (random drawing for candy)
Miss W will review common payment services and EFTs.
Miss W will start the checking account section

Using slide 24 as a guide students will create a check and label it
using the last page of their Bank packet.


The Drawer's Name will be a place you would like to work
The Payee's Name will be your name.

After Lunch:
Miss W will continue with the checking account section

Independent Exercise:
Students will answer complete the new Bank worksheet
