Friday, March 14- 8th Grade- Database- Entering Data

Bellringer:
1. Open your Typing file and on page 43 type lines 4, 5 and 6.            

    Use your right LITTLE finger for the P  key 

2. If your expedia.com worksheet is not finished, finish it (see board)
3. Pull out your Career worksheet
    if you do not have the Career WORKSHEET finished
    Click on http://www.careeroutlook.us/table.php?state=NC&cluster=sci&interest=all
     and choose 6 careers from the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math page.

What are we learning?Understand the basics of databases.
How is database information used, organized, and managed in business?

Bring back signed Interim Reports today for 90 and by Monday for 85. 


Guided Practice:

Miss W will walk through how to create a vacation database
     by right clicking on the database name to the left and using the Design view.
@ Students will sign into glogster to see if you remember your id.
 
7th grade log-ins:  students first initial and last name followed by atms13.  No spaces, dashes, etc.  passwords are student birthdays again with no slashes, spaces, or dashes in the mmddyyyy format.  EXAMPLE:  uid:  cmoseratms13    pw:  07132000

8th grade log-ins:  students first initial and last name followed by atms14.   No spaces, dashes, etc.  passwords are student birthdays again with no slashes, spaces, or dashes in the mmddyyyy format. EXAMPLE:  uid:  tmoseratms14  pw:  01011999

 http://edu.glogster.com/  Do NOT create a new id if you can not log in! We have a list with ids on it.

Independent Exercise:
@ Students will create and then enter their vacation information into a vacation database.

@ If it does not let type in the data, it means you have the field type wrong.
