Wednesday, March 19th- 7th Grade- Spreadsheets- Worksheet Tabs and Inserting Charts

Bellringer:
1.
 Open your Typing file and on page 43 type lines 4, 5 and 6.            
    Use your right LITTLE finger for the P  key 

2. If you do not have the Career WORKSHEET finished
Click on http://www.careeroutlook.us/table.php?state=NC&cluster=sci&interest=all
     and choose 6 careers from the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math page.


What are we learning?
4.1 Know the components of Spreadsheets
Bring back signed Interim Reports today for 90 and by Tuesday for 85. 


Guided Lesson- :

@ Go to the Witkowski folder then the Spreadsheet folder     
     Open the Spreadsheet Vocabulary file
@ Slides 10 through 17   worksheets and charts/graphs

@ Go to the SS flash card folder and open up 23 change color of tabs
     This is an example of a workbook with 12 worksheets.

@  Open up 22 Pie Chart.
      This is an example of the Insert tab and then the Design tab (chart layouts)
@ What if you make a mistake choosing the chart?
     Open up 9 Chart Types and Styles

     --click on the chart
     --On the Design tab, click on the Change Chart button
     --Select a column chart

    --On the Design tab, click on the Chart Styles arrow and find the orange/black choice.

@Open the "car lot" file found in the student docs, Witkowski folder, Spreadsheet folder
and save to your lunch number.


7th grade Glogster log-ins:  
students first initial and last name followed by atms13.  
passwords are student birthdays

Do NOT create a new id if you can not log in! We have a list with ids on it.  

Independent Activity:
Car lot exercise-  
1*
Students will go to http://www.carmax.com and find cars and write the information (year, make(brand), model(name), miles, and price) on their worksheet.
2. Students will type their car data into the spreadsheet.

:
1. Pull up your Career PowerPoint, all 6 slides must be finished with animations and transitions
