Concept Development Phase

NEXT Week, there will be a test on the Discovery Phase and Concept Development Phase of the Entrepreneurial Process. 

Literacy/Vocabulary Strategies (Word Wall)
In the Concept Development phase of the Entrepreneurial process 
you would choose a business location.


 

 
Bell-Ringer/Connecting Strategy
      
     1.  Go to wclassroom.blogspot.com 

    2. 
  Go to  Computer- Student Doc- Witkowski folder- Exploring Business Folder-
          Entrepreneur Folder- then open 3.02 Entrepreneurship 

    3. Go to Applications then Microsoft Office then Word
         Open a new Word document

Guided Lesson:

Independent Exercise: 

@ Students will create a business route for their food trucks
Your Goal, Using Google Map:  
       Plan out a 10 to 20 mile route (Archdale, Trinity, High Point, or Greensboro area)


       Stop at 10 establishments


       Time Frame should be no more than 3 hours


       You want the maximum number of customers for your food truck. 


       Screen print your route to a Word document and insert a text  box to explain your choices!





Students will create a Discovery Phase Review PowerPoint

Total of 8 slides- large appropriate clip art on each slide

1. Discovery- generates ideas, recognizes opportunities, and determines feasibility of idea.

2. Perform Market Surveys to gather data about the market.



3. Questionnaires/Surveys



4. Taste Tests

5. Look at market trends

6. Study demographics of business area

7. Consider consumer wants and needs

8. Matches skills or hobbies with market trends
