Thursday, September 6- Items that make a good PowerPoint Presentation

Bell Ringer:
1. Open up your MRI (messes make some moms mad) Word document

2. Look at the picture on the top of page 34 and 35 to see which fingers to use for the Q key and the / key. On page 34 and type line 6 and page 35 type line 10 and on page 35 type line 14.

3. Finish the 5 question Presentation PURPOSE test study guide sheet.
WRITE out ALL of the correct answers even if you have them all correct!!!!

What are we learning today?
What items make a good PowerPoint presentation.

Guided Practice:
@Miss W will review the correct finger placement for keys Q, and the / key.
@ Miss W will discuss prework for 10 steps to use to develop a PowerPoint presentation.
@Students will help each other during the skills practice.

Homework:
Students need to decide for which ACADEMIC topic (LanguageArts, Science, Social Studies, Health or Math) they want to create a short PowerPoint presentation during tomorrow's class. BRING your textbooks for that class tomorrow! We will be usingthe PowerPoint you create to learn different old and new features of PowerPoint 2010.

Exit Activities:
Students will practice touch typing the home row keys with a game called HomeKeysKennys.Remember- Do NOT look at the keys whileplaying.Try your best to click on thekeys from memory.http://www.learninggamesforkids.com/keyboarding_games/homekey-kennys.html
