Wed, Sept 4- 7th Grade PowerPoint- Learning the Ribbon

Bellringer:
1. Get your Keyboarding package from the crate.
2. On the bottom of the second page write:
-Eyes should look at the copy (what you are copying)
  NOT the keyboard.

- When a person is keying copy the hands and arms
 should remain relatively stationary. |
-They should not move much.
 

  3. Students will label the different types of fingers,
index (blue), middle(red), ring(green) and pinky (yellow)
and color them so they match the QWERTY keyboard finger positions.

4. Some students will need to redo http://www.typingtest.com 
(Miss W will let you know)


What are we learning?
1.1 Implement proper keyboarding technique (the form and keyboarding style)
1.2 Introduce Alphabetic keys
1.3 Begin timed writings on Alphabetic keys

In pairs, you will complete the PowerPoint Ribbon Worksheet

PowerPoint folder 1 Presentation Purpose PowerPoint

Homework:Students need to decide for which ACADEMIC topic
(Typing Posture/Technique, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies,
or Math) they want to create a short (7 slides) PowerPoint presentation
during tomorrow's class. BRING your textbooks for that class tomorrow!
We will be using the PowerPoint you create to learn different old and
new features of PowerPoint 2010.
