Literacy/Vocabulary Strategies (Word Wall)
Review of 10 steps:
Step 1 Why? What is the purpose? (Educational, Narrative, Persuasive)
Step 2 Who? Target Audience?
Step 3 Rough draft Storyboard.
Step 4 Pick a Design

Bell-Ringer/Connecting Strategy
On page 11 type lines 5 and 6. 
Use your your right INDEX finger for the M key.
Remember to use your thumb for the space bar.
1st period finish up storyboard slide.

Guided Lesson:

Using the Design techniques discussed in the PowerPoint on Friday
create a 1 slide presentation on "You" Include:
your name, things you like (tv, video games, hobbies, sports)
USE the concepts we learned like contrasting colors, etc.
Narrative Purpose (to broadcast messages, tell a story or entertain)
Rubric-
It is worth 50 points
10 points Narrative Purpose (to broadcast messages, tell a story or entertain)
2 points off for spelling mistakes
5 points off for contrast mistakes
2 point off if you don't use proper citation for image
 You are allowed 1 picture the rest of the images are clip art
2 points off if you don’t have words size 24 or larger

PowerPoint folder/  4 Presentation Procedures Revised PowerPoint.

Steps 5 through 10 will be reviewed

Using the back of your Ribbon Worksheet, we are going
to fill the blanks for the 10 steps of a presentation.

@ Reviewing the importance of PowerPoint presentations and how to create and save your own designs as a template or master slide. For example, a slide master lets you insert a picture or logo that you want to appear on multiple slides.

@ Go to Computer/ Student Docs/ Witkowski folder/
PowerPoint folder/  4 Presentation Procedures Revised PowerPoint
  and in teams CAREFULLY answer the questions. You will need to write out the ones you miss.

Homework:
Students need to decide for which ACADEMIC topic
(Typing Posture/Technique, Language Arts, Science,
Social Studies, or Math) they will create a
PowerPoint presentation soon. We will be using the
PowerPoint you create to learn different old and new
features of PowerPoint 2010.
