Friday, Oct 11- 7th Grade: Spreadsheets- Practice Formatting Data

Bellringer:
1.  The daily bellringers will now be practicing the number pad

Choose exercise 4 and then click on the word "start."
Record you typing speed and accuracy on the form.
You must have 98% or higher accuracy.

Guided Lesson: 
@ Students will start to format their car spreadsheet.

Car lot formatting exercise- students will format their data table, change the color of the tabs, create a border around their favorite car, fill in that cell and change data format to currency.  

On your car lot spreadsheet complete the following formatting:
1. choose a "format as table" style, 7 Format Table 
2. change the color of the 3 tabs, 23 Change Color of Tabs
3. create a "thick box" border (any color) around your favorite car,31 Formatting Cells
4. fill in that cell with any color
5. and change the data format in the price column to currency.

6. create data bars of any color in your price field 13 Data Bars 
7. hide the row of the car you like the least 16 Hide and Show Rows

If there is time more spreadsheet flashcards will be practiced
