Thursday, Oct 10- 7th Grade: Spreadsheets- Formulas versus Functions

Bellringer:
1.  The daily bellringers will now be practicing the number pad

Choose exercise 3 and then click on the word "start."
Record you typing speed and accuracy on the form.
You must have 98% or higher accuracy.


Guided Lesson: 
@ Open up the Spreadsheet Vocabulary PowerPoint file.
     Slides 36 to 38 (formulas versus functions)


@ Students will complete the "Understanding Functions" exercises.

Car lot exercise  
1*Students will create a spreadsheet of dream cars
that they would have in their own car lot business.

2*Open the "car lot" file found in student docs,
Witkowski folder, Spreadsheet folder
and save to your lunch number.  


3*Students will go to http://www.carmax.com and
find cars and type the information
(year, make(brand), model(name), miles, and price)
into their spreadsheets.
 
4*Students will type their car information into the spreadsheet
