Thursday, Oct 3- 8th Grade: Databases- Tables, Records, Fields and Entries

Bellringer:
1. Open your Project Summary.
2. Open up your Typing document
3. Turn to page 62 of your typing book.
4.  Type 
Line 7  space bar key
5.  Turn to
 page 63 of your typing book.
6   Type Line 12  tab key 
7. On the bottom of your database 1/2 sheet
    find information for one more person


What are we learning?
Understand the basics of databases. 
How is database information used, organized, and managed in business? 
What formatting options are available when creating databases? 

Guided Lesson:
@ Check your PowerPoint Project Summary for the following items:
    1.
Paragraphs are tabbed or indented.
    2. All sentences begin with a Capital Letter.
    3. All sentences end with a period.
    4. You have spell checked and grammar checked it. 
     5. Do NOT print yet!!!!

@Open "Names" database
@Class will use the "new (blank) record" arrow to add the new name

Continue the Review of Database Tables worksheet.
Use slide 18 to help with the field type definitions.

Miss W will walk through how to gather data for the first example.
