Tuesday, Oct 15- 7th Grade Spreadsheets- formatting charts

Bellringer:
1.  The daily bellringers will now be practicing the number pad

Choose exercise 6 and then click on the word "start."
Record you typing speed and accuracy on the form.
You must have 98% or higher accuracy.

Guided Lesson: 

On your car lot spreadsheet complete the following formatting:

Chart creation and formatting

  • hide the "miles" column 
  • highlight your car lot data- model and price
  • Insert a column chart
  • click on the chart and the Chart Tools Tab will appear
  • We are going to look at the Design Tab.
  • Choose a chart style color.
  • We are going to  look at the Layout tab.
  • insert the chart title "My Car Lot". It will explain the chart's purpose.
  • insert horizontal axis title "model"
  • insert vertical axis title "price"
  • click on data labels and click on show
  • click on data table and click on show
  • change chart wall, go to more options and pick a fill color
  • change chart floorgo to more options and pick a different color 
  • make sure you have gridlines they will make the plot area easier to read.
