Wednesday, May 14th- 7th Grade- Spreadsheet Functions: Date, Now, Days360

Bellringer:
1. On page 408 type the paragraph that begins "To figure the speed..."
2. Students will get their Chart Component Notes out of the crate.
3. TEST next Tuesday!

Guided Lesson:
@ Signed interim reports due Today for a 90 on Thursday it will be 85.
In the Spreadsheet folder open Types of Chart PowerPoint.

@ Students will correct page 57 Name That Chart Scenarios. 

Guided Practice:
@ Miss W will review the spreadsheet functions (shortcuts) we already covered:
     Sum, Min, Max, Average, and Count

@ Miss W will start to explain more advance Spreadsheet functions like:
     Date, Now (Ctrl ;), Days360

Open a new Spreadsheet
@ In cell B7 insert the Now function
@ In cell B10 insert the Date function and enter 2014 for year, 6 for month and 6 for day.

@ We are now going to see how many days until the end of school!
@ In cell D12 insert the Days360 function Start date is B7 and End Date is B10
@ This will give you how many days before your next Student Day Off.
@ Lets find how many days until your birthday. :)
@ Change the number in B10 to your birthday.

 
Independent Exercise:
@ WRITE your NAME on the top of the Advanced Functions Notes Worksheet.
@ Students will start the Overview of Advanced Functions Notes Worksheet by
     completing the notes (copying the information in FunctionUse and Example)    
     for Date, Now and Days360
