“I Can…” Statement	Criteria for Success-Formative/Summative Assessments
I can carefully read the questions on CTE pre-test. I can successfully participate in a team. I can get out of the building quickly if there is a fire drill.	Formative- Students take time to read pre-test questions. Formative- Students complete team work exercise worksheet. Formative- Students take the fire drill practice seriously.

Literacy/Vocabulary Strategies (Word Wall)

Bell-Ringer/Connecting Strategy

Open a Word document and type or on a piece of paper write and draw: your name your favorite tv show                       your favorite song your favorite sport your favorite hobby                       your favorite book add any type of clip art save it and name the file "communication"

Guided Lesson: Miss W will go over pre-test instructions. Miss W will go over the fire drill safety process with students. Independent Activity: Students will quietly take pre-test, when they are finished they will work on extra credit vocabulary preview. Students will quietly and quickly practice the classroom fire drill. Students will revise their answers on what makes a good team if necessary. Students will work in their puzzle teams to complete the team work worksheet.
