Guided Lesson:

@ Students will complete an educational slide and an persuasive slide.

Using the Design techniques discussed in the PowerPoint

create a 2 slide presentation. One slide will be educational and

one slide will be persuasive on Enterovirus

Rubric-

It is worth 100 points

20 points for correct educational slide

20 points for correct persuasive slide

10 points for creating a section and using 2 different color templates

10 points off for spelling mistakes

10 points off for contrast mistakes

10 point off if you don't use proper citation for image

You are allowed 1 picture the rest of the images are clip art

20 points off if you don’t have words size 24 or larger

Independent Exercise: Educational/Informative PowerPoint Project

Step 1- Determine the Purpose of PowerPoint

Students will be creating a powerpoint with an educational purpose.

The first powerpoint we created had a narrative (story telling) purpose.

Independent Exercise:

@ Complete activities after Miss W. demonstrates the process.

Practice	Project		Include items 4 – 32 in your PowerPoint Presentation
			Each item is worth 3 points each. You should NOT do them in order but where they fit best in presentation.
		1	Save to your student drive (lunch number). Academic subject is used.
		2*	“Procedure for developing a Multimedia Presentation” Worksheet is completed
		3*	Create and Edit a Master Slide (you do not need to use in project but you must show teacher you know how to create and edit a Master Slide)
		4	For each item you will type the number of the item in the Notes Pane.
		5	Design Tab- select template
		6	Design Tab- change color of template
		7	Home Tab- add 12 new slides
		8	Home Tab- use text shadow
		9	Home Tab- change font color
		10	Home Tab- center text
		11	Home Tab- use text direction
		12	Home Tab- shape fill
		13	Home Tab- shape outline and shape weight
		14	Home Tab- shape effects
		15	Insert Tab- type your name then insert clip art (pictures work the same way)
		16	Click on clip art and Pictures Tools will pop up, use crop, add picture border
		17	Picture Tools- use bring forward and send back, use picture effects
		18	Picture Tools- change color, add artistic effects, remove background
		20	Insert Tab- insert shape
		21	Insert Tab- insert hyperlink
		22	Insert Tab- insert text box (will let you position pictures on slide)

		25	Home Tab- click on slide 5 and add a section, choose a new template
		27	Transitions Tab- add a transition to slide one and change duration
		28	Transitions Tab- change between mouse click and “after” time
		29	Animations Tab- type your name on title slide and choose an animation for it
		30	Add an animation to a slide and change the effect (use animation pane)
		31	Review Tab- spell check
		32	Review Tab- create a comment on the slide you are most proud of creating
