(Detailed Plans Including Best Practices, Researched Based Strategies)
Guided Lesson:
@ Finish Hurricane spreadsheet
@ Slides 41 - 43

@ Working With Cell References in Excel 2010 http://www.gcflearnfree.org/excel2010/9.4
  stop at 3 minutes
@ Go to the Spreadsheet folder, then the Relative Cell Reference folder, then
   Open Blooming Bells Nursery file
@ Right click on Sheet 2 worksheet tab and rename to Autofill
@ Right click and change the color on the tab
Autofill- allows you to quickly fill in days of the week.
@ Type in Monday then drag cursor down.
@ Type in January then drag cursor down.
@ Go to Sheet 1
@ Click on Cell F4
@ Type in = then click on Cell D4
@ Type * then click on Cell E4
@ Press enter and you will see the answer $29.75
Relative Cell Referencing- copies formulas and automatically adjusts to correct cell range.
@ Now click on the cell with $29.75
@ You will see the black border because it is an active cell.
@ Put your cursor in the lower right corner of the border and you will see a plus sign
@ Drag the plus sign down so it calculates the other answers.

Independent Exercise:
Absolute cell referencing- formulas do NOT adjust or do NOT change.
For example- $C$12- column A does not change and row 2 does not change.

Go to My Computer- then Student Docs- then Witkowski folder
then- Spreadsheet folder- then RELATIVE CELL REFERENCE folder
then- rose variety file
