Step 10- Revise as needed.

Bell-Ringer/Connecting Strategy

1.Get out your PINK and GREEN papers

2. Open your Educational PowerPoint.

3. Go to wclassroom.blogspot.com

4. If your name is on the board start working on your PowerPoint immediately!

Past Lessons

Step 1- Determine the Purpose of PowerPoint

Most students picked Educational and some students picked Narrative.

Step 2- Identify the Target Audience

Our target audience will be other students so we want to have colorful

slides, animation, all of the design ideas we discussed.

**** You will need to find a game for your audience to play***

type the word "QUIA" and the name of your topic

Step 3- Storyboard the content

We researched 8 key facts and storyboarded them as a rough draft.

Step 4- Create a Design

Step 5- Edit the Master slide (OPTIONAL)

Step 6- Enter the Content (notice you enter the words before the pictures)

@ Make your game link smaller.

On the title slide you need:

* Your Name

* Your Topic

* Your Game Link

* A picture or clip art

* You need to insert 8 more slides for a total of 9

Friday’s assignment

Step 7- Add and format graphics (pictures), audio and video

Remember to use the PINK PICTURE TOOLBAR

to add a frame style and effects for all pictures!

You need citations for pictures from the Internet.

You don't want to spend all of your time looking for 1 picture!!!!

Step 8- Add animations and transitions NEED AT LEAST ONE OF EACH FOR EACH SLIDE

Look on your pink skills paper, you need to add a section, date, etc.

Monday’s Lesson
You must have completed Steps 1 through 10 on the Green sheet
AND added the skills on the Pink sheet
AND wrote 2 or 3 sentences about what you are going to say
BEFORE you record your audio clip.
Miss W will not give you a headset if you have not completed the above tasks.

Step 7- Follow along with Miss W to see how to add your audio clip

go to the Slide Show tab
choose Record Slide Show
choose Start Recording from Beginning
make sure both boxes are checked
when you are finished go to File then Save AND Send then choose Create a Video
Open a PowerPoint and save to your lunch number
On the title slide- Go to the Insert tab and then insert video
We have now embedded a video into a PowerPoint

Step 9- Practice (review the rubric AND CHECK OFF ITEMS)
     possible mistakes:
     -contrasting colors
     -missing skills from the pink sheet (see board)
     -size 24 or larger

Step 10- Revise as needed (check spelling)

Have another student check your typing and grammar.
