Databases- Sorting and Connectors

Standards:
DB-3 Demonstrate the management of databases



“I Can…” Statement

I can recognize ascending and descending order.
Students know the difference between ascending and descending order.


Literacy/Vocabulary Strategies (Word Wall)
Hashtags are used for Twitter accounts.
It is also used as a “number” sign, for example #1.

Bell-Ringer/Connecting Strategy
On page 76, type lines 10 and 11.
We are using our LEFT MIDDLE finger for the # HASHTAG/ NUMBER key
We are using our RIGHT PINKY finger for the  SHIFT  key

Guided Lesson:

@ Miss W will give instruction on the 6 prework query project
Independent Exercise:
@Students will complete the 6 query powerpoint

If time:
@ Students will make test corrections.
@  Students will start on the Sort worksheets. If you miss a question,
     you will need to write out the question and the correct answer.

Used to define specific search criteria (what you are looking for)
Sort
Arranging information in some form of logical order; alphabetical, chronological (by time), numerical.
Ascending- A to Z   Descending Z to A
Criteria
A condition that must be met or not met in a search. Anyone wearing blue.
