Literacy/Vocabulary Strategies (Word Wall)

Connectors- And & Or are used for searches (queries). These Boolean Logic Words either include more items in a search (or) or include less items in a search (and).

Bell-Ringer/Connecting Strategy

On page 76, type lines 14 and 15. We are using our right MIDDLE finger for the 8 key.

Guided Lesson: @ Miss W will review creating a database. @ Miss W will review the and & or connectors. Independent Exercise: @ Students will start on the Sort worksheets. If you miss a question,      you will need to write out the question and the correct answer. @ Students will work on the Understanding Operators worksheet. @ Students will create an income database. @ Open the Guided Practice PowerPoint If time: Students will complete the income questions    Term Definition Filter A tool used to search for specific information within a database.       Filter by selection Filters related to an active cell. Filters for the field or entry that has been sdelected       Filter/Advanced Filter Sort Used to define specific search criteria (what you are looking for) Sort Arranging information in some form of logical order; alphabetical, chronological (by time), numerical. Ascending- A to Z   Descending Z to A Criteria A condition that must be met or not met in a search. Anyone wearing blue.
