Literacy/Vocabulary Strategies (Word Wall)
Newsletters-  Usually keyed in columns, May require one or more pages, Usually prepared for a specific organization, company, or group to provide updates and  information about group members.

Bell-Ringer/Connecting Strategy
On page 80, type lines 14 and 15.
We are using our RIGHT RING finger for the 9  key.

Guided Lesson:
@ Students will take database test.
@ A review of Using Text in Publisher
@ Open up a New Publisher Newsletter call it PRACTICE
1. Add text box  Home tab- then Draw Text Box
2. Zoom-  View tab- then Zoom OR bottom right of screen
3. Text Effects- highlight word,
Format tab- Shadow, Outline, Engrave, Emboss
4. Border- select, Format tab- Shape outline button

@ Students will practice new skill: hyphenation
Your articles needs to have a .5 hyphenation.

@ Miss W will review the Publisher Newsletter Rubric.

@ Students will decide on their Newsletter Name and Logo.
@ Students will save their Newsletter NAME Template to their lunch number.
