Guided Lesson:
@ We are NOT using the typing book for several days.
We are learning the numeric keypad.
Your thumb goes on the 0 at the bottom
Your index finger on the 4
Your middle finger on the 5
Your ring finger on the 6
Your pinky will hit the plus sign +
The daily bellringers will now be practicing the number pad
Choose exercise 1 and then click on the word "start."
Time will not start until you put your cursor
in the white rectangle and start typing.
Record your typing speed and accuracy in your typing file.
Review of Date, Now, Days360, If, Count, CountA, Countif functions
@ Open a new Spreadsheet
@ In cell B7 insert the Now function
@ In cell B10 insert the Date function and enter 2015 for year, 4 for month and 3 for day.
@ We are now going to see how many days until Spring Break!
@ In cell D12 insert the Days360 function Start date is B7 and End Date is B10
@ This will give you how many days before your Spring Break.
@ Open the count and count a practice file.
@ Use the count and counta functions.
@ Use the count if (the range is their names) function.
@ Use the sum, max, min and average functions.A
@ Write out Days 360 and any other missing function definitions, uses or examples

@ Microsoft Excel 2010 Data Validation
@ Open the Data validation file
@ The Green class tab has the name of classes
@ The Yellow period tab has the daily periods listed
@ On the Yellow tab we are going to where A1 is and we are going to call it Periods.
@ On the Green tab we are going to highlight B1:B7
@ Go to the Data Ribbon Tab
@ Click on Data Validation
@ Click the drop down arrow and choose List
@ Where it says source type =Periods
@ Click OK
@ Choose different periods for your classes
@ Write the function definition, use and examples of
List, Validated and Non-validated on your worksheet
