Standards:
K1-1 Implement proper keyboarding techniques



“I Can…” Statement
Criteria for Success-Formative/Summative Assessments
I can remember keyboarding facts.
Test on Wednesday.
Students will do well remembering keyboarding facts.
Literacy/Vocabulary Strategies (Word Wall)
The QWERTY keyboard and the numeric keypad.
Animation showing the sequence
Bell-Ringer/Connecting Strategy
We are learning the numeric keypad.
In our fourth lesson we will cover the operator keys of the /-*-- row .
  • The right middle finger will control the / key.
  • The right ring finger will control the * key.
  • The right little finger will control the - key.

The daily bellringers will now be practicing the number pad
Choose exercise 1 and then click on the word "start."
Time will not start until you put your cursor
in the white rectangle and start typing.
Record your typing speed and accuracy in your typing file.
