Literacy/Vocabulary Strategies (Word Wall)
Tab, Group, Ribbon, Multimedia, Informative, Persuasive, Narrative
Bell-Ringer/Connecting Strategy
On page 6 type lines 5 and 6. Remember to use your thumb for the space bar.
Use your your right and left RING fingers for the S and L exercise

Guided Lesson:
1. Miss W will go over testing process. Students will work quietly on extra credit vocabulary worksheet after they finish the test. Do NOT write on the tests.
 
2.  Go to Computer/ Student Docs/ Witkowski folder/
PowerPoint folder/  PowerPoint Part 1 folder/
1 Presentation Purpose PowerPoint
 
Independent Exercise:
3. Write the complete questions from the 1 Presentation Purpose PowerPoint
                      then in pairs answer with the correct letter (a, b, c, d)
                       after they are corrected,
you wiill write the entire answer.
                      LEAVE SPACE after the questions!
 
4. Go to Computer/ Student Docs/ Witkowski folder/
PowerPoint folder/  2 Presentation Procedures PowerPoint
 
5. Team Candy Challenge- Name the different ways that this PowerPoint is boring
OR Name the different ways it could be better.
 
Guided Practice continued:

PowerPoint folder/  3 How to Make Effective Presentations PowerPoint.
 
7. Using the Design techniques discussed in the PowerPoint
create a 2 slide presentation on "You" :)
1st slide- What you like
2nd slide- What you don't like

8. Go to Computer/ Student Docs/ Witkowski folder/
PowerPoint folder/  4 Presentation Procedures Revised PowerPoint.
 
@ Using the back of your Ribbon Worksheet, we are going
to fill the blanks for the 10 steps of a presentation.
 
Resources:

Homework:
Students need to decide for which ACADEMIC topic
(Typing Posture/Technique, Language Arts, Science,
Social Studies, or Math) they will create a
PowerPoint presentation soon. We will be using the
PowerPoint you create to learn different old and new
features of PowerPoint 2010.
