Students will be able to quickly find the PowerPoint features they need. Students will be able to decide if they should create a PowerPoint or use a different software program.

Guided Lesson:
1. Review home keys.
The A S D F J L ; keys are called the home keys.
Each finger controls a specific key and is named for its
home key: A finger, S finger, D finger, and so on, ending
with the Sem finger on the ; (semicolon) key.
Finish Keyboarding Unit
In teams, students will answer the Posture and Technique Review questions
on the last page. Review your packet carefully for the answers. You will need
to write out the questions and correct answers for each question you miss.

2. Explain PowerPoint 2013 Tabs and Groups.

3. Go to Computer/ Student Docs/ Witkowski folder/
PowerPoint folder/  1 Presentation Purpose PowerPoint

Independent Exercises:
4. Students may work in pairs to complete the  PowerPoint 2010 Tabs and Groups worksheet.

5. Write the complete questions then in pairs answer with
the correct letter (a, b, c, d) after they are corrected you
will write the entire answer.
LEAVE SPACE after the questions!

Homework:
Students need to decide for which ACADEMIC topic
(Typing Posture/Technique, Language Arts, Science,
Social Studies, or Math) they wii create a
PowerPoint presentation soon. We will be using the
PowerPoint you create to learn different old and new
features of PowerPoint 2010.

Students will work in pairs to review the new concepts.
Closure Strategy
Exit Activity #1:Students will practice touch typing the home row keys
with a game called HomeKeys Kennys.    
Remember- Do NOT look at the keys while playing.

Choose beginner if you are in the beginner category
Choose intermediate if you are in the average category
