Literacy/Vocabulary Strategies (Word Wall)
Range, Cell Reference, Sorting, Ascending- to go up, Descending
File:Divers ascending at
Bell-Ringer/Connecting Strategy
On page 25, type lines 13 and 14.
Remember to use your thumb for the space bar.
We are using our left INDEX finger for the G key.
Make sure you use the shift keys to capitalize the words!

Guided Lesson:
1. Open the Spreadsheet Vocabulary file
Slides 19 through 24   (Range, Cell Reference, Sorting)  
In the Witkowski folder then the Spreadsheet folder

@Practice ascending and descending order

2. Open the SS Flash Card folder
What if you make a mistake choosing the chart?
Open up 9 Chart Types and Styles
    --click on the chart
    --On the Design tab, click on the Change Chart button --Select a column chart
   --On the Design tab, click on the Chart Styles arrow and find the orange/black choice.

@ Open 19 Hide Worksheet
    - right click on tab and choose hide
    - right click on tabs before and after the hidden tab and choose unhide.

@ Open 16 Hide and Show Rows
    -right click on row number and choose unhide.
- highlight row before and row after the hidden row
    and then right click and choose unhide.

SS Flash cards file
Open 7 Format Table    (format as table button)
SS Flash cards file  (conditional formatting button)
Open 13 Data Bars

SS Flash cards file   (border button and percent button)
Open 31 Formatting Cells



3*Open your "car lot" file and finish the last 5  cars.
   You need to have the car lot sheet completed and all of your cars typed in.
   We will be formatting the spreadsheet on Tuesday.     


4. Cell Reference and Range Activity
Follow instructions to make a picture.

Make cell C5 to C8 yellow

Make D5 to D8 yellow

Make cell F5 to F8 yellow

Make cell G5 to G8 yellow

Now click on C6 make it black

Then click on F6 and make it black

Cell E11 green

Cell B12 to B13 red

Cell I11 to  I12 red

Cell C14 red

Cell D15 red

Cell E16 red

Cell F15 red

Cell G14 red

Cell H13 red

Homework:
Students need to decide for which ACADEMIC topic
(Typing Posture/Technique, Language Arts, Science,
Social Studies, or Math) they will create a
PowerPoint presentation soon. We will be using the
PowerPoint you create to learn different old and new
features of PowerPoint 2010.
